I am currently a member of the PMAS Cross-Border Medical Scheme. I needed my injury investigated as soon as possible, so I contacted Michael Murphy, a representative of the PMAS Scheme. Michael was able to provide me with the information and guidance I needed to start my journey to recovery, with quick access to an MRI scan. Within two and a half months, I had my surgery. Without the PMAS Scheme, it could have been years before I got the help I needed.

PMAS provides you with access to the 5-star private hospital, Kingsbridge. My experience with Kingsbridge has been exceptional from the moment I walked in. I was made instantly comfortable and reassured with really high standard aftercare as well. My experience of both PMAS and Kingsbridge has made my process a lot less stressful.

The PMAS scheme in my personal opinion is one of the best things a soldier can pay into.

The DF as a whole will not give you the service and medical assistance that is needed for the job we do on a day to day basis. I was injured badly on a DF exercise that was the fault of the kit and equipment I was issued and if it was not for the PMAS scheme I would still be suffering.

The PMAS scheme in my personal opinion is one of the best things a soldier can pay into.
